"Ow! You cheeky fucker! " - Hot Fuzz

Well, I've turned 21 since my last post and while I was in London, England for my birthday, I saw some kick ass advertisements from the blokes who made Shaun of the Dead. After seeing a few hilarious commercials, it was finally released in March.

Some how I was able to talk Mother into joining me and Hot Fuzz is probably the funniest movie all year. It is HILFUCKINGLARIOUS!

The plot is as follows: Sgt. Angel is a badass at what he does and makes everyone else in his department, the London Metropolitan Police, look bad and they send him to the "suburbs" where there hasn't been a crime in years. Well, being the very good police officer he is, he thinks something fishy is going on as people start dieing in "accidents."

The comedy stars the same fellas from Shaun of the Dead with the addition of James Bond... well Timothy Dalton at least.

Anyhoot, great movie. I bought it and 300 at the same time and watched them both that night.

"This Is Sparta!" - 300

So, my best friend joined the Navy in 2006. Well, he had to go to Seattle in March in order to report for duty. Unfortunately, Seattle isn't like New York, so he needed a car. Fortunately, I like driving, so, we drove to Seattle and had a great time!

In an effort to set a goal for the drive, we revolved our arrival in Seattle to our want to see 300. The film adaptation of a graphic (that's an understatement) novel by Frank Miller, made famous by the screen adaptation of Sin City.

The movie shot in a similar production as Sin City with the actors involved in a constant green screen and lots of CGI.

The basic plot of the film is actually based on a true story of King Leonidas' Spartans battling Xerxes Persians in an attempt to fend off the power hungry and, according to the film, effeminate Persians. The Battle of Thermopylae happened in 480 BC and the Spartans lost (sorry, if you didn't know the outcome, read a history book).

The movie is definitely worth at least one watch, I promptly bought it the day it went out.

Sorry I'm not too talkative, and Eureka is on now too. See ya.

I hate tv series hiatuses

Well, it's been awhile. There's always an excuse but I'm not going to go into detail other than saying my Grandmother passed away last October and since then I've been, eh, toward posting on here.

So, now I've gotten my shit together and feel as though it's time to continue doing something I had enjoyed doing before.

Well, I'm going to change up my methods here a little bit.

First off, the name of the post is going to be the movie. Hopefully I'll do at least 1 or 2 a day. Maybe do more tonight, but I don't have a lot of time before my bed time.

Secondly, I'm not sure how in depth the posts'll be. Feel free to comment on those you want to know more about and I'll post again... I'm sure there's someone that's reading this other than me.... one would hope. *Shrug*.

Well, a little about me in my time away from here.
I've been working, a lot. Well, I guess the usual amount, ya know 40 hours a week.
I had been in charge of a project I started soon after I stopped posting for about 9 months.
And beginning in January, I started doing "programming" - that's up for debate - using several different programming languages, which I'm not going to mention since I know how hard it is to find help for those, thanks Google. So, now that I'm working on that full time before I move to a new project, I'm a little less tired all the time.

Anyway, time to post a movie or two.
